Foundation Program
Raising and Improving the Learner’s Linguistic Skills
The Foundation program is an English Language program
aiming at raising and improving the learner’s performance in English so
that s/he can go to the academic programs and complete study in English
easily.
Goals:
-
Preparing learners
linguistically to go into the academic programs and complete their study
in English.

Developing the
different language skills of the learners to suitable levels so that
they can deal with the different areas of knowledge written in English.

Communicating easily
in English inside the classroom with instructors and colleagues.

Referring to sources
of information written in English for the purposes of research.

Making presentations
in English as an important requirement of higher studies.

Listening well to the
lecturers and taking notes.

Writing exams
correctly and legibly.
Placement Test
Before going to the
Foundation, students sit for a placement test and then they are
categorized as follows:
-
Less than 59% go to level 1
-
From 59% to 79% go to level 2
- 80% and more Pass to the academic programs.
