Student Council Visit to Sohar University
Al Buraimi College Student Council has paid a visit to Sohar University on 23/3/2009. The students held a meeting with their peers in the University. Then, they were introduced to the different divisions of the University, which included: Faculty of Arts & Human and Social Sciences, Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Applied Sciences and Faculty of Engineering, in addition to the Learning Sources Center and the Vocational Guidance and Orientation Centre. Al Buraimi College students were also introduced to the activities performed by the University' Student Council, which encompasses a number of committees, each including different groups. The members of each group perform different duties inside the group. Then the lady social specialist met her peers in the University, and was introduced to the services and programmes applied in the campus and in the girls' hostels. Later, the Dean of Student Affairs welcomed the College's delegation and introduced them to the different student activities which included a "Students Week" held a week ago, to illustrate the different activities offered by the participating groups of Sohar University students. Last but not least, we would like to add that Al Buraimi College is always keen to consolidate its ties with neighbouring universities and colleges in the Sultanate, as well as outside the Sultanate. The College is always looking forward to keep in touch with such academic institutions. It extends an invitation to Sohar University to pay the College a visit in order to get to know its academic and administrative staff and all supporting facilities. |
