Another Visit from BUC to Strengthen the Academic Affiliation ties with CSUN
To strengthen the academic Collaboration with CSUN and to put the terms of the agreement between both parties into effect, and upon the insightful directives of his Excellency Sheik Ahmad Bin Nasser Al-Naimi, the chairman, to highlight this kind of communication as realized in the previous visit of CSUN’s delegation to BUC, the dean, Dr. Abdallah Al-Ani, paid a visit to CSUN from August 5-10 as per an entitlement from his Excellency the chairman. The meetings focused on activating the terms of the agreement already signed by BUC and CSUN, and making good use of CSUN’s expertise in all academic fields especially teaching technologies, program design, developing faculty skills and teaching methods, in addition to quality assurance and distance learning, and making good use of CSUN’s learning resources through exchange of information. The most outstanding results of the visit are the accreditation of BUC’s current academic programs and four new ones after careful reviewing by CSUN’s academic counter-departments. It has been found that BUC’s programs are in consistency with CSUN’s standards of the counter programs.
The dean gave a demonstration about BUC’s developments in various sides and the great achievements accomplished in such a short period of time. CSUN people were quite satisfied with the level of collaboration with BUC and expressed their readiness to push it up for the benefit of both sides.
Another important result of the visit was the possibility to host Post-Graduate Master Degree programs in Information Technology and Engineering Management at BUC. Moreover, BUC can delegate people for training purposes on library management, information technology and other short-term programs that can be arranged later. People from CSUN may visit BUC to run workshops in various areas. CSUN may attend the graduation ceremony of Diploma graduates at BUC and be connected with BUC by blackboard and e-mail systems.
