Dear students,
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you here, in our English Department.
As an academic department, we are very much committed to offer our students high standard quality learning and teaching experience. We offer undergraduate Bachelor and Diploma degrees in English Language and Literature and Bachelor in Translation. Our programmes are very carefully designed to meet students’ future career expectations and prepare them as strong graduates ready to cope with the ever competitive job market locally as well as internationally. We have extracurricular activities that engage, enhance, and provide our students with a healthy learning environment.

- Enable students to develop knowledge in English language and literature and acquire language and translation skills needed in the job market.
- Develop students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Promote students’ creativity and learning skills through classroom work and extracurricular activities.
- Enable students to communicate information confidently and efficiently in spoken and written discourse.
- Promote diversity and teamwork that would help students work in a multi-cultural environment.
- Help faculty enhance their research performance and contribute to national and international knowledge production.
- Provide technology-based learning environments that would ensure and secure academic integrity and research ethics.
