BUC Strategic plan 2020-2025

“The Quality Advantage”

The operational heart of the plan consists of five Goals with our intent statements about the outcomes we are seeking, 14 Objectives for achieving these goals, and 39 Strategies that delineate the specifics that need to be accomplished. Taken together, this plan provides the synergy to strengthen and develop BUC performance in five main areas:

 

1. Enhance governance and management

BUC is committed to working to enhance its governance and management system by conducting a review of the work, tasks, and specializations of the college boards (the board of directors – the board of trustees – the College Board). The college is also concerned with updating its organizational structure to suit the nature of expansion in its administrative and financial structure and facilities. BUC is also interested in reviewing and creating regulations and policies that regulate its work environment.

2. Focus on academic quality in the teaching and learning process

BUC has committed itself to attaining the highest academic standards, offering programs and courses that meet national needs and clearly link theory and practice. We want to recruit faculty who pioneer new course designs to increase student learning experiences and educational outcomes, participate in professional organizations and activities, and engage with the public, business, and social sectors.

3. Focus on students' skills in improving learning

BUC has embarked on an ambitious agenda for establishing programs and courses that offer our students pathways to lifelong success. We want to be recognized by other universities, accrediting agencies, and       employers for the breadth and depth of knowledge attained by our graduates.

4. Expand National Community Service areas

BUC has always viewed itself as a contributor to the betterment of our nation, emphasizing the importance of citizenship, service, and responsibility. We want to develop collaborations with local, regional, and international partners to meet today’s emergent social and economic challenges.

5. Develop the use of resources, infrastructure, and facilities

 BUC has continuously invested in its infrastructure, resources and facilities to support our growth and forward momentum to become a leading regional higher education institution.
