Your academic advisor is a faculty member assigned to guide you throughout your studies. You can check in your online portal to know who your advisor is.
What should I do if I don’t have an advisor?
If no advisor is assigned to you, contact your Department Coordinator or the Head of Department for assistance.
What are the duties of my advisor?
Your advisor helps you with course registration, study planning, academic decisions, and career or graduation preparation.
How can I contact my advisor?
You can book an appointment and visit your advisor during office hours. You may also contact them through email or Google Chat. Please do not use WhatsApp or personal numbers for communication.
What happens if my CGPA is below 2.30?
You will be placed at risk of academic probation and will not be able to register online until your CGPA rises above 2.30. You have to register through your advisor. Work hard and contact your advisor for academic guidance.
What are the consequences of finishing a diploma with a CGPA below 2.00?
Government scholarship may stop. You will need to pay for remaining courses yourself. You may have to repeat courses to raise your CGPA. (This does not apply to private students.)
If I finish my diploma with a CGPA below 2.00, will I receive my certificate?
No. You must repeat and improve your courses to raise your CGPA to 2.00 or above before receiving your diploma certificate.
How can I continue from Diploma to Bachelor’s degree with a government scholarship?
You must achieve a minimum CGPA of 2.70 at the end of your diploma to qualify for government-funded progression.
